Where are Henley stoves made?
Henley has been building stoves in Tralee, Co. Kerry since 1992 and is still family run. Every stove goes through a 32 point quality check before it leaves the factory, and the range is Ecodesign 2022 compliant and DEFRA approved. That mix of Irish manufacturing and independent certification is a large part of why Henley is one of the most widely fitted brands in the country. If you are weighing Henley against another Irish name, our Stanley stoves are cast in Waterford and cover much the same ground.
What size Henley stove do I need?
As a rough guide, multiply your room length, width and height in metres, then divide by 14. That gives an approximate kW output for a reasonably well insulated room, so a 4m by 4m sitting room with a 2.4m ceiling lands near 5kW. Draughty or older rooms need a little more, and open plan spaces more again. Our Henley range starts at 4.6kW inserts and runs up to the 21kW boiler stoves that also carry radiators. Do I need a new flue or hearth for a Henley stove?
In most cases, yes. An existing open chimney is far too wide for a stove and needs lining, usually with a two ply flexible liner, and where there is no chimney at all a twin wall system runs externally or up through the roof. You will also need a non combustible hearth sized to the manufacturer's clearances. We stock the chimney flues and hearths to suit, so the whole job can be specified in one visit rather than pieced together.
